About ClearBreach
Most Canadian organizations face the same privacy obligations as large corporations — without a legal team, a privacy officer, or a compliance budget to navigate them. ClearBreach closes that gap: breach assessment, annual compliance, and privacy impact assessments built directly on OPC and OIPC regulatory guidance, for organizations that need to act, not wait for a consultant.
What we built
Canadian privacy law is written for courts and regulators. The OPC, OIPC Alberta, and OIPC BC publish authoritative, accurate guidance — all of it assumes the reader already employs a privacy professional. Most Canadian businesses don't, and can't afford one.
ClearBreach embeds that expertise in the platform. You answer questions about your situation; ClearBreach applies the legal interpretation and produces what your organization needs.
Breach assessment — a structured 18–23 question wizard that takes under 15 minutes. Applies the Real Risk of Significant Harm test under PIPEDA, Alberta PIPA, and BC PIPA simultaneously and generates every required document automatically. All assessment answers are processed in your browser; no breach details are sent to ClearBreach servers.
Annual compliance assessment— identifies gaps across ten compliance areas and generates a personalized policy and procedure document set tailored to your organization's size, sector, and jurisdiction: privacy policy, incident response plan, complaint handling procedure, and privacy management program documentation.
Privacy impact assessment — a structured wizard for new projects, systems, or vendor relationships that require a formal PIA. Produces a completed assessment document ready for internal sign-off or regulator submission.
ClearBreach covers PIPEDA, Alberta PIPA, and BC PIPA for Canadian private sector organizations.

The founder

Yong Du
Founder & Privacy Officer
Yong Du founded ClearBreach after recognizing that Canadian organizations face the same complex breach reporting obligations as large corporations — without the compliance infrastructure to meet them. The gap between what organizations need to do and what they actually know how to do is where breaches go unreported, or are reported late, and individuals are not notified.
Yong brings over a decade of experience in enterprise cybersecurity, network infrastructure, and IT operations across large-scale private sector environments in western Canada. That operational background shapes ClearBreach's practical approach: clear obligations, actionable steps, and all required documents generated in one workflow.
Yong holds the Privacy Officer designation for ClearBreach Technologies and is responsible for the platform's RROSH assessment framework and compliance document outputs, based on direct analysis of OPC, OIPC Alberta, and OIPC BC regulatory guidance and enforcement findings.
