ClearBreach

About ClearBreach

Canadian privacy breach compliance for small and mid-sized organizations — built for the person managing an incident, not the compliance team reviewing it two weeks later.

What we built

ClearBreach covers the full privacy breach management cycle — from assessing whether a breach triggers reporting obligations to generating every document required to meet them. The platform replaces the manual RROSH assessment with a structured 18–23 question wizard that takes under 15 minutes and produces a clear verdict plus all required documents automatically.

Every output — RROSH verdict, internal incident record, individual notification letter, and regulator report drafts for the OPC, OIPC Alberta, and OIPC BC — is generated from your assessment answers and processed entirely in your browser. No breach details are sent to ClearBreach servers.

ClearBreach covers PIPEDA, Alberta PIPA, and BC PIPA. It is built for private sector organizations — not public bodies, not Quebec Law 25, not Ontario PHIPA.

Who it's for

Canadian SMBs

Run your own breach assessment. Know what you owe under PIPEDA, Alberta PIPA, or BC PIPA before calling a lawyer — and have the documentation ready when you do.

MSPs and IT service providers

Manage breach assessments for multiple clients under a single account. Generate client-specific regulator reports and documentation for every applicable jurisdiction.

The founder

Yong Du, Founder & Privacy Officer at ClearBreach Technologies

Yong Du

Founder & Privacy Officer

Yong Du founded ClearBreach after recognizing that Canadian SMBs face the same complex breach reporting obligations as large organizations — without the compliance infrastructure to meet them. The gap between what organizations need to do and what they actually know how to do is where breaches go unreported, or are reported late, and individuals are not notified.

Yong brings over a decade of experience in enterprise cybersecurity, network infrastructure, and IT operations across large-scale private sector environments in western Canada. That operational background shapes ClearBreach's practical approach: clear obligations, actionable steps, and all required documents generated in one workflow.

Yong holds the Privacy Officer designation for ClearBreach Technologies and is responsible for the platform's RROSH assessment framework and compliance document outputs, based on direct analysis of OPC, OIPC Alberta, and OIPC BC regulatory guidance and enforcement findings.
